This commercial floor sanding project was undertaken over the course of 5 nights, working around other trades as part of an annual maintenance programme. This busy venue has a footfall of around 5000 customers per week, and remained open throughout the project.

Many of our customers have traditional pine floors, as found in period flats and homes across the city. The dull, well-worn boards can be transformed to bring the light, warm colour of the wood back to life. The project shown here had significant damage and required extensive repairs.

Staircase and hallway – stripped and sanded

This Morningside hallway was transformed with the stripping and sanding of both upper and lower hallways and staircase.

Reclaimed sugar maple sports hall floor

The customer had purchased a reclaimed sugar maple sports hall floor and appointed us to sand and lacquer it. As you can see it turned out beautifully.

Re-sanded engineered oak floor

This engineered oak floor had become worn and a little tired. The customer wanted to give it a new lease of life and commissioned us to sand and lacquer the kitchen and garden room area with a durable commercial finish.

Just completed Orocco Pier, South Queensferry

Phase one of a full refurbishment at Orocco Pier Hotel and Restaurant. The work was scheduled to coordinate alongside other trades and completed during a short timeframe when the premises were partly closed. The Orocco and Merbau wooden floors were sanded and lacquered using a clear satin finish to enhance the natural warmth and beauty of the timber.

Re-sanded Stockbridge flat, dyed with mid-Oak stain

This Stockbridge flat was re-sanded and coloured, having been poorly sanded by a previous owner. As well as replacing a few damaged floorboards, the client wished that we filled all the gaps as there were cooking smells and drafts from the property below.

The dye selected was light-fast mid-Oak colour, giving a rich warm feel throughout. The colour enabled us to blend areas of recently installed floorboards in the bedroom, to match the original boards in the small bedroom, living room and hallway.

Re-sanded drawing room with oak floor

This drawing room with it’s distinctive narrow oak boards sanded up beautifully. We did not apply any dye – this is just the natural rich colour of the wood showing through. It was finished with three coats of two-part commercial lacquer.
